Deckpro Runs the Inflatable 5K for Great Ormond Street

At deckpro, we’ve kicked off our 2025 charity efforts with a bang — or more accurately, with a bounce. Find out how the team got on at our first 2025 fundraiser event for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.

The Challenge: 5K of Bouncy Chaos

To kick off our fundraising efforts, six deckpro team members (plus some brilliant friends and family) signed up for the St Albans Inflatable 5K — a fun run packed with 30 giant inflatable obstacles over a gruelling 5km course.

Why Great Ormond Street?

This year, our team had the chance to vote on a charity to support — and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH) came out as the clear favourite. The work GOSH does for seriously ill children and their families is nothing short of incredible.

From pioneering research and specialist medical equipment to family support services and accommodation, the charity helps ensure children get the life-changing care they need — and families can be close by while they receive it.

We’re proud to get behind that mission and contribute in any way we can.

Fundraising Success

We originally set a goal of raising £1,000. Thanks to the amazing generosity of our colleagues, clients, and friends, we passed that goal before the day even arrived — raising £1,140 in total.

To make things even better, the deckpro leadership team generously matched that amount, bringing our total donation to £2,280 for GOSH.

We’re over the moon and so grateful to everyone who got involved.

What’s Next?

The inflatable 5K was just the start. Over the course of the year, we’ll be taking on all sorts of fundraising events — bake sales, sweepstakes, fitness challenges, and more — all in support of GOSH.

We’re aiming to raise as much as we can, while having a bit of fun along the way - although some of the runners would seriously dispute the use of the word 'fun' for this event. 😅
